This George III or Chippendale period tea pot was manufactured by the Worcester porcelain manufactory during the Thomas Flight period (b 1726 – d 1800). This wonderful fluted tea pot features hand painted gilt detailing, the gilding still so bright even after all these years. The base of the tea pot features the Flight script above the Worcester crescent mark. We cannot remember the last time we saw a piece of Worcester with this mark. Such a delightful tea pot.

We love make do pieces, they are so very charming, the repair part of its history! We love the addition of the early ‘make do’ metal spout, notice the strainer to the inside of the handle. We have not polished the handle and left the tea pot exactly as is. This is the perfect country house antique, ideal for anyone who loves ‘make do’ pieces or has a passion for early English porcelain.

Please see our collection of 18th and 19th century pottery and porcelain listed separately in our store.

Measuring: Width 9 ¼ inch (23 cm).
