Situated on the main road north of Southampton on a common, The Cowherd's Inn was erected in 1762, on the site of an earlier building. A totally original painting that is perfect for anyone who loves the country house look! The painting is signed by the artist bottom left reading ‘F. Effeny.’\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe painting is by Fred Effeny (b abt. 1868 – d 1933) who was born in Nursling, Hampshire, England.
