The engraving is titled ‘La Fille A La Maison’ which translates to ‘The Girl At Home.’ The engraving was printed\/published by Lordereau at No.17. St. Jacques, Paris, France.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe engraving depicts a scene from the 'The Mother at the Ball and the Daughter at Home' which was a play that was performed for the first time in Paris, at the Théâtre National du Vaudeville, on November 30, 1826. We see pretty young lady dancing in front of a mirror, while her maid has fallen asleep in the chair. At that moment a handsome young man appears to her.
