She has a sheer muslin pale greeny\/blue shawl around her shoulders. She is wearing a red coral necklace with a central gold locket. Her elegant hair is upswept in a Grecian style chignon, taking inspiration from classical Roman and Greek tradition. The quality of the painting is absolutely astonishing; this is a fine portrait by talented and confident artist. The portrait is so life like!
