The plate would have been produced for a child and features a wonderful raised floral border. The center of the plate features a humorous transfer printed scene depicting a little girl wearing glasses, smoking a pipe while reading a newspaper, clearly imitating her grandfather. The text reads ‘Our Early Days, Now I’m Grandfather’. At the bottom of the plate we fined the impressed mark reading ‘Scott 5’.
