This started life during the Regency era as a saucer for a matching teabowl. This is the perfect small plate to make a grouping on your wall, please see two others that are retailed individually all from the same previous collection.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eJohn Dawson and Co (1799 to 1837) manufactured earthenware, pearlware and lusterware from the Low Ford factory in Sunderland, England. The plate features a blue transfer printed design with early floral decoration and a hatched border, very similar to an 18th century Meissen porcelain pattern (Blue Onion or Pomegranate). The base features the impressed ‘Dawson’ mark and decorative little painters mark in underglaze blue.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a decorative, early piece of transferware by a collectible manufacturer.
