They are from a single owner collection, they collected early 19th century glass scent bottles with initials from the 1780 to 1820 period. Small scent flasks were a necessity at this time as sanitation was generally poor, and to mask those nasty whiffs one could unstopper your handy scent flask to smell something a little more pleasant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis wonderful little glass scene bottle was produced in England during the late 18th century\/early 19th century. The glass scent bottle is of tear drop, or navette shape and features a hand etched owner’s original owner’s monogram reading ‘M. S.’ The scent bottle also features hand etched leaf detailing to the reverse. Such a high quality engraving, the scent bottle has such a lovely weight to it and feels superbly tactile in one's hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the perfect item for anyone who loves Georgian era glass, or Nailsea Glass.
