It is hard to believe that this fine quality porcelain cup and saucer have survived over two centuries. However, it is easy to see why as the quality of potting, cobalt blue and high carat gilding decoration is simply divine. Even on an overcast day the gilding GLOWS!!!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe cup and matching saucer were potted from very fine porcelain. When held to the light the translucency is excellent, one can see ones fingers through it from a distance of inches away. The fine, light weight but hard paste like body makes it a well balanced piece. Decorated in pattern 214, with gilt flower designs within cobalt blue reserves. Each reserve is united by gilt swags which enclose vertical foliage upon a stippled\/dotted ground. A quality, high gloss glaze completes the luxury look and feel.
