Dating from the 1900-1917 period this very refined bisque porcelain socket headed doll is such a sweetie. She has clear impressed maker's mark to the rear of her head for Schoenau Hoffmeister Porzellanfabrik Burggrub (SHPB) located in Burggrub, Germany. She has the impressed star with model 47 00 Germany 14. She has very pale skin and superbly painted features. This small musical marotte doll comes to you in untouched original condition. Free from damage to her face\/head, and in good working order. When spun she plays a single tune of around 20 seconds in duration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eShe is dressed in typical silk Jester attire complete with a bisque hand painted shoulder head with finely painted brush stroked brows and lashes. Gorgeous dark blue swirl glass eyes with accented corners. Open mouth with teeny teeth. Original white\/blonde mohair curly locks and white felt jester hat. She is sooo pretty. Her head is attached to a cylindrical card body with wooden stick to the centre of the body cylinder. It is this cylinder body that holds the music box player. When you rotate the stick\/doll as a whole you will hear her delightful musical tune playing. The cylinder body retains its original Jester silk clothing with antique lace trimmings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eSize: 10 1\/2\" Tall by 3 1\/2\" wide and deep. The small, beautiful quality head is approximately 2\" tall. Shown for small scale in last image against a larger antique marotte doll (retailed separately)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eCondition. Good working order, head all good, free from damage. The felt hat is glued to the head with old animal glue, and the hair is glued to the hat, now a little loose in places. . Probably had little pom poms or bells attached to her hat and dress points, now missing (any easy fix). Her felt hat is no longer pure white, darkened with age\/wear.
