Item Description

This quality pair of Georgian faceted/slice cut glass condiment bottles were produced in England during the late 18th century, circa 1780. This pair was originally produced as part of a George III silver cruet or condiment set for tasty Georgian liquid condiments such as oil, anchovy, soy, ketchup, vinegar etc, all stored within a silver stand. They are missing their original stand and glass stoppers which in our opinion makes them more usable for today's interiors as they now make ideal stem vases. See our last images for inspiration....

The lipped vases are fine examples of George III era glass making; lead glass from this era is of such high quality, beautifully cut, beautifully clear and exquisitely tactile. If you have not owned glass from this 18th century period, these will make a fine start. The vases would display excellently on your shelf mantle at either side of a mirror, favorite art work or displayed on a side table for the ultimate English country house look. They are so elegant, they really are THE perfect accessory for any interior. We are sad to part with them!!

Measuring: Height 5 7/8 inch (15 cm). Width 2 inch (5 cm).

Condition: Some exceedingly minor fleabites to the glass commensurate with age.
