19th Century Childs Plate Blue And White Transferware Shells Birds and Cornucopia C 1830
Item Description
This is a superb quality little childs sized plate! This stunning little plate was made in England during the 19th century, circa 1830. The plate features a crisp, blue and white, transfer printed design. The design features birds of paradise flying around a cornucopia that it over brimming with blooms. At the foot of the Cornucopia we see more flowers and shells. We see a rococo style transfer printed inner border, surrounded by a pretty relief moulded border to the outside edge.
This is a quality item, just fabulous. Provenance: Rhoda Cope Collection.
Measuring: Diameter 4 7/8 inch (12.5 cm).
Condition: Good, undamaged, unrestored condition.
