Item Description

This decorative Mauchline Ware snuff box was produced in Scotland during the 19th century, circa 1850. The snuff box features a transfer printed design to the hinged lid depicting a dog in a rural setting.

Mauchline Ware has always been extremely collectible, particularly pieces featuring animals. Mauchline Ware is the name given to the 19th century wooden printed tourist wares manufactured in the town of Mauchline, East Ayrshire, Scotland.

This is the perfect item for anyone who collects Mauchline Ware, Treen, anyone who loves dogs.

Measuring: Width 2 ¾ inch (7.3 cm) by height ½ inch (1.5 cm). Depth 1 ½ inch (4 cm).

Condition: A fairly dark depiction as seen in our photos. Light surface wear, some loss to lined interior. Minor perfectly stable drying fault near hinge mechanism.
