Item Description

If you love miniature , or toy sized early English pottery figures, we guarantee that you will be charmed by this sweetie. This delightful little Staffordshire figure was made in the Yorkshire, or Staffordshire region of England during the early19th century, circa 1810. The figure is of miniature proportions and features a Regency period lady resting and is decorated in the underglaze pratt ware tones of yellow, green and brown. We love the spotted decoration on her Regency dress and her Mob cap. Perhaps she has been walking back from Church, or a friends house on a warm day and is taking a rest against a grassy knoll. Sometimes these toy sized pottery figures are also classed as candle snuffers!

Measuring: Width 2 1/8 inch (5.5 cm) by height 2 7/8 inch (7 cm). Depth 1 1/8 inch (3 cm).

Condition: Restored. The back of the figure has been extensively restored, then over painted in green paint Old chip to the base and a small chip to arm. The figure is strong and perfectly stable and is ready for display.
