Item Description

This is a wonderful little Tin Type photograph in a gilt metal mount! This fabulous photograph was produced during the 19th century, circa 1860s. The photograph features a male sitter sat facing us. The chap is roughly 18 year to 20 years old and looks to be quite the character. He has such an interesting face and demeanor, if not a little sinister (the Scorsese film Gangs of New York springs to mind)! The photograph is of good quality, the level of details is astonishing for a 19th century photograph. The photographer has had the chap sit in the chair in front of a mock up painted background, notice the little cottage on the hill!

Measuring: Width 2 inch by height 2.5 inches.

Condition: Light surface wear commensurate with age.
