Antique 1820s English Pearlware Tea Bowl and Saucer, Blue Willow Bird Design
Item Description
This rare and decorative pearlware tea bowl and saucer was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1820. The blue and white transfer printed design features two ducks on the banks of the river, another duck can be seen in the water. Both pieces also feature extensive floral detailing in a sheet pattern, this is an incredible decorative piece of pearlware. We love all bird related art and antiques. This is the perfect item for anyone who loves birds, or early blue and white transferware.
Provenance: Sheila French Collection.
Measuring: Tea bowl diameter 3 1/8 inch (8.5 cm) by height 2 1/8 inch (5.5 cm). Saucer diameter 5 ½ inch (14 cm).
Condition: A few minor flea bites to tea bowl foot rim. Two minor flea bites to saucer rim.
