Antique 19th Century Portrait Painting Of A Lady Red Shawl Octagonal Frame Circa 1840s
Item Description
This beautiful small sized watercolor Portrait of a lady was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1849. The portrait is on card and features a female sitter wearing a red shawl. We love how the artist has painted the sitter’s hair and eyes! The artist was clearly a confident and experienced painter. The painting is signed by the artist reading ‘W. R. 1849.’ The painting is housed in a 19th century gilt octagonal frame, and behind original old wavy glass. It is the perfect addition to your country house themed interior.
The painting was purchased as one of a pair by the same artist, each sold separately.
