Item Description

We are thrilled to offer this early 19th century doll's chair. Dating from the late Regency/Georgian period, circa 1830 it is a little joy to behold. This stained wood chair has buckets of appeal and natural patina. The stained cherry wood colour is unusual for British chairs of this period, we wonder if it originated from the USA?

It is a rare treat to have retained its original caned seat. The spindle legs and central stretcher are each beautifully hand turned. These chairs were designed for durability and were often passed down through generations of children. If you have a special doll, teddy or antique - this genuine antique chair will give you sooo many display options.

Size: 12 inch tall (30 cm) by 7 3/4 inch (19.5 cm) at its widest point. The seat is 6 1/2 inch (17 cm) deep

Condition: Excellent, good and strong, all original, no repairs or touch ups. Minor age wear to wood surface as you would expect to see. Soft, tactile patina from age. A really good early example.
