Item Description
It was the frame that drew us to this little combination. The ancient pine backed frame has sections of faux graining to imitate the Oyster veneer type wooden frames from the William and Mary 1600s period. The frame is not from the 1600s, more likely the 1800 period and has a beautiful colour and patina. Also has retained its original wooden backing board which again has a great patina. Enclosed behind glass is a small floral tent stitch needlework dating from the 1870s. A super combination that will look fabulous in any curated home.
Frame Size: Approx 8 3/4 inch square (22 cm).
Condition: The frame has old surface knocks and scratches, all part of its ancient history. The woolwork has two missing stitches to the centre.
