Antique Jewelry Vitrine Beveled Glass Jewellery Casket Circa 1870

This quality glass vitrine dates to the 19th century, circa 1870. This all original 1870s example is designed in the rectangular shape. The beveled glass lid opens to reveal the remains of a pink silk buttoned cushion perfect for displaying your favorite jewelry or portrait miniatures. All five thick glass panels are heavily bevelled adding to the sheer opulence of this piece.

Measuring: Diameter 5 1/2 inch (14 cm) by height 2.75 inch (7 cm).

Condition: The pink silk covered cushion is very shredded with age, but in our opinion adds to its faded grandeur charm. A few expected chips and nibbles to the bevelled corner edges. Small scratch to front glass panel. Back left foot is sound but a little bent creating a minor wobble at times.
