Antique Prattware Pottery Cottage Money Bank English Folk Art C 1830

This charming little pottery money box (in the U.K), or money bank was made in the potteries of Northern England around the 1830 period.

The money bank is finely modeled as charming little cottage with a whimsical figure stood to each side of the doorway! Notice the tree to each side of the house. Wonderful. We love the mix of prattware colours in orange, green and blue.

This is a charming little item that will display excellently alongside any collection of 19th century pottery and porcelain, the ideal item for anyone who collects 19th century folk art.

Measuring: Width 4 1/4 inch (11 cm) by height 5 inch (13 cm). Depth 3 inch (7 cm).

Condition: Glaze crazing as one would expect. Difficult to detect but there is Professional restoration to chimney, roof, base and where two figures firmly join the house. Old manufacturing drying fault to each tree section on the house. All perfectly stable.
