Rare 19th Century Childs Nursery Ware Plate Obedience Lustre Ware C 1830
Item Description
This rare and decorative miniature child’s plate was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1830. The plate features a monochrome transfer printed design with text reading: ‘The first lesson for a child is obedience.’
The plate also features a raised floral boarder with a pink lustre rim. This is an uncommon plate in the most sought-after size. This is the perfect item for anyone who collects early nursery ware. It is incredible to think that this small plate was given to a child 200 years ago and is still in such fabulous condition.
