Early Staffordshire Figure Ram Bocage Pearlware English C 1810 RARE
Item Description
This fantastic Staffordshire pearlware figure was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1810. The George iii era pottery figure is modelled as a ram lying on a grassy tump with a floral bocage behind him. The figure has been produced the to the highest standards and is one of the best examples we have retailed in the past 30 years!
We love the mix of glazes and his characterful expression, notice also the rococo style detailing below the ram in blue. It really does not get much better than this! This is the perfect item for anyone who loves early Staffordshire pottery figures.
