Item Description
A beautiful Victorian tooled leather and needlepoint needle case from the 1840s period. Having tooled maroon leather borders with a central panel of the finest, most minuscule tent stitch embroidery. Each face has a different floral spray. Open the book design case to reveal the moss green plain woven silk lining. One side houses a compartment for storing your needles/ skeins of thread.
Size: 2 1/4 inch tall by 3 1/4 inch wide ( 5.5 cm by 8.5 cm)
Condition: Good. A small section of leather missing at base of spine. Minor foxing to the silk interior.
