Victorian Pair Staffordshire Dogs Red Fireside Spaniels English C 1870

This pair of genuine Victorian Staffordshire figures were made in the Staffordshire region of England during the 19th century, circa 1870. The pair are 6 inch tall, so small to mid-size and depict a pair of King Charles Cavalier spaniels in red and white. The dogs are nicely moulded with a thick curly Cavalier spaniel coat, with a curved tail section and manufacturing air hole to the bases. They have been together since 1870; they are now looking for a new home! They are exceedingly well behaved, no grooming required, just a light dust every now and then. They really do display excellently on a shelf or mantlepiece.

Measuring: Width 4 inch (10.5 cm) by height 6 inch (15 cm). Depth 3 inch (8 cm).

Condition: Light surface wear commensurate with age. The occasional small chip and firing fault, all to be expected with genuine Victorian Staffordshire figures.
