This delightful little shell box was produced in Europe during the early 20th century. The box features marbled paper with the most wonderful hand applied shells. The shells are so vibrant, we absolutely love this box. The box opens to reveal the storage compartment which is complete with its original decorative paper lining. This is the perfect box for anyone with a connection to the sea. It is a unique item that is the perfect size.
Measuring: Width 5 1/8 inch (13 cm) by height 2 3/8 inch (6 cm). Depth 4 inch (10 cm).
Condition: Light surface wear commensurate with age, the odd bit of shell loss/damage to shell. The card hinge mechanism works nicely!
