1930s Art Deco Caricature Portrait Guido Giuliani Original Framed Painting

Now this is a FUN little artwork! Totally original and unique!

This fabulous watercolour painting was produced during the Art Deco period, in the year 1932. The portrait features a fashionable gentleman in profile view smoking a pipe!

The painting is on card or paper and is housed in its original frame. The painting is one of a pair, each sold separately.

Guido George Giuliani was born in New York, USA in 1908 and died in Pompano Beach, Florida USA in 1976. He was the son of Giovanni (John) Pasquale Giuliani (b 1877 – d 1959) and Maria Rondinella Maiani (b 1880 – d 1953). Guido came from a large, tightly knit, Italian American family. The portrait is likely of one of his siblings, aunts or family friends.

Guido’s siblings include; Anthony Giuliani or Juliano (b 1904 – d 1970), Hugo Giuliani (b 1906 – d 2006), Arnold Giuliani (b 1911–d 1987) and Inez Giuliani (b 1916 – d 1993).

Measuring: Frame width 6.75 inch (17 cm) by height 9 5/8 inch (24.5 cm). Aperture width 5.75 inch (14.5 cm) by height 8.5 inch (22 cm).

Condition: Good with light surface wear to frame.
