Item Description

This charming child’s lustreware mug was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1820. The mug features transfer printed text reading:

‘Let others worship glittering dust, and boast of earthly toys. Christ is my rock my hope my trust, and spring of all my joys.’

The mug also features a transfer printed floral design that has been hand coloured, this is such a vibrant piece!

This is the perfect mug for anyone who loves early English ceramics, the mug displays excellently alongside all things folk art and naïve.

Measuring: Width including handle 3 ½ inch (9 cm) by height 2 3/8 inch (6 cm).

Condition: Minor scratch/hairline to exterior only near handle. A few minor old chips to base rim.
