Item Description

This decorative porcelain miniature jug was produced by Coalport in England during the 19th century, circa 1820. The jug is of small proportions and would have been produced as part of a child’s or doll’s tea service. The jug features the most decorative, detailed hand painted floral sprays with extensive rich gilt decoration upon a luxurious cobalt blue ground. Measuring: Height 3 1/8 inch (8 cm). Width 2 1/8 inch (5 cm).

Condition: Old professional restoration to spout and to handle, small 1/8 inch hairline to handle (difficult to photograph). Small flake of pink hand painted enamel missing from pink central rose.
