19th Century English Miniature Engraving The Bride by John Fairburn Circa 1830
Item Description
We just adore these original miniature Georgian prints. They have a charm and naivety that are soooo appealing. This wonderful hand coloured print features a lady in traditional Georgian era dress and is titled ‘The Bride’ and was printed by John Fairburn. John Fairburn of Minories, London (fl 1789-1840) was a printer and publisher of cheaper caricatures and popular prints. He also retailed and printed maps, charts and books for the more general public. The print is housed behind its original old wavy bubbled glass in its original ribbed wooden frame.
This is the perfect item for anyone who loves all things Georgian or a newlywed! Please see our collection of 18th and 19th century art and antiques listed separately in our store.
