Item Description

This wonderful pair of porcelain fish dates to the late 19th century. This pair of finely modeled hand painted Carp are extremely unusual. The pair displays excellently, the perfect item for anyone who loves all things folk art or fishing.

Measuring: Width 5 3/8 inch (13.5 cm). Height 2.5 inch (6 cm). Depth 1 3/8 inch (3.5 cm).

Condition: There are some old surface chips to the fins and one of the fish tails: one fish has some stable firing cracks along the center line of one where the two sides of the fish have been molded together, seen in images.

A pair of decorative, unusual Victorian items, a rare pair that will display excellently, particularly in a rustic style kitchen or study.
