19th Century Georgian Pottery Dog Figure English C 1830
Item Description
This rare and decorative pottery figure was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1830. The figure is modelled as a recumbent dog on a rococo style base with C scroll base decoration very similar to Derby figures of this period. This is a finely modelled little figure, so unusual to find a figure this small! This is the perfect item for anyone who loves Georgian era antiques or anyone who loves dogs.
Measuring: Width 5 inch (13 cm) by height 2 1/8 inch (5.5 cm). Depth 2 ¾ inch (7 cm).
Condition: This figure is approaching 200 years old. Crazing to glaze, small chip to base left corner front and back. Dogs tail has section missing, hairline to dogs paw which is perfectly stable. The occasional minor hairline.
