Item Description

This charming little child’s plate was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1830. The plate would have been produced for a child and features a European transferware pattern depicting a girl wearing traditional national dress playing in the fields. In the background we can see a village church with an ornate and unusual spire.

This a rare item, we have not been able to find another example like it. This is the perfect item for anyone who collects early nursery ware or has a passion of early 19th century ceramics. Please see our collection of child’s toy pottery listed separately in our store.

Measuring: Diameter 3.5 inch (9 cm).

Condition: Three stilt marks to the base rim from where the plates are stacked in the kiln.
