Item Description

This is a very rare and decorative little English porcelaneous figure was produced in England circa 1830 to 1840.

The figure is modeled as a handsome black and tan terrier dog stood on a base. The dog has been hand decorated over glaze in black and tan with a gilt collar. This is a rare figure, we have currently been unable to find another, he came to us from a discerning single owner collection of early 19th century pottery and porcelain dogs. It is the perfect for anyone who loves the less common early dog figures, in particular little scamps!

Measuring: Width 2 5/8 inch (6.5 cm) by height 3 ¼ inch (8 cm). Depth 1 5/8 inch (4 cm).

Condition: Not perfect, some flaking to the paint commensurate with age. Old chip to tail, old horizontal hairline to ¾ base that is perfectly stable.
