Item Description

This wonderful small reticulated pearlware plate was produced in England, circa 1820s. This small Regency era plate features a decorative blue and white transfer printed central design depicting a stunning country house. Notice the hay gathers in the foreground and the avenue of trees to the right, simply stunning. The plate features the most wonderful reticulated, or pierced, border which can be threaded with your choice of decorative ribbon.

What a beautiful piece of pottery this is. The plate is so unusual, so decorative. It will display excellently and is perfect for anyone who appreciates the English country house look.

Provenance: Trevor Kentish (b 1938 — d 2017) was an experienced collector of English blue and white pottery and porcelain and the former editor of The Friends of Blue society. He was a member of the society for some 30 years as well as the treasurer for several other pottery and porcelain societies.

Condition: A few grazes to rim and foot rim, two chips to underside of rim.
