Item Description

This delightful little thimble case dates to the late 19th century. The case is modeled as a wicker basket and is constructed from finely interwoven straw/seagrass; this must have been a very delicate and time consuming process. The thimble case is complete with its original metal thimble, the perfect item for anyone who loves all things sewing related or folk art inspired.

Measuring: Diameter 7/8 inch (2.5 cm) by height 1 1/8 inch (2.8 cm). Thimble dimeter 0.75 inch (1.9 cm) by height 7/8 inch (2.2 cm).

Condition: Good, one small area of missing grass seen in image.
