We love early sewing tools, this 1820s whitewood sewing clamp is a delightful addition to your collection. This rare and decorative Tunbridge Ware sewing table clamp was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1820. Souvenir items such as this would have been manufactured in Kent and then retailed predominantly in the seaside towns of England.
This early white wood clamp features the usual decorated stripes, shield shaped turning knob. It has retained its original velvet pincushion and paper label reading ‘Faith’. This is the perfect item for anyone who loves rare and early sewing tools, or early Tunbridge Ware. Measuring: Width 2 1/8 inch (5.5 cm) by height 3 ¾ inch (9.5 cm).
Condition: Historic touched up shallow chips to painted face.
