Item Description

This charming little child’s treacle glaze pottery money box was produced in Scotland during the 19th century, circa 1850. This is early Victorian money box would have been produced for a child. It is modeled as a decorative chest of drawers. The money box is finely molded; it is remarkable that it has survived! Typically the bases were broken in order to retrieve the money.
