Item Description

Chunky Staffordshire figures, copper lustre spaniels! That perfectly summaries this fantastic pair of copper lustre dogs. They are the chunkiest spaniels we have seen! The figures are unusually deep for a Staffordshire spaniel, something we have not seen before…

The pair were produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1870. The pair are modelled as spaniels and decorated in copper lustre with separately moulded legs, a sign of quality. They are a male and female pair and have been together since new. 150+ years of history as a couple, incredible!

They are a male and female pair with the male being a particularly chunky example. The figure is so deep, they really have such presence! This is the perfect matching pair for anyone who loves Staffordshire figures, an uncommon style that is perfect for anyone who loves dogs.
