Antique Bentwood Pantry Box Shaker Folk Art Rustic C 1850

This wonderful little treen bentwood storage or pantry box was made during the 19th century, circa 1850. Swedish in origin, it is the perfect item for a folk-art inspired interior. The box has the most wonderful natural patina. We have not handled such a nice box as this for many years, they are becoming hard to find. They are so beautifully made, this example has been produced to a high quality. The lid of the box features the original owner’s inscription, but it is now unreadable from all the hands that have held it.

This is an all-original item, perfect for anyone who loves folk art and country house art and antiques.

Measuring: Width 6 1/8 inch (15.5 cm) by height 2 ½ inch (6.5 cm). Depth 3 1/8 inch (8 cm).

Condition: Light surface wear with age, a few old pen/pencil marks to interior.
