Item Description
If like us you adore top quality early English porcelain, then this will be a fine addition to your home. This very fine cup and saucer dates from Regency England, Circa 1810. Made by Derby porcelain it features a trailing laurel leaf design decorated with a cobalt blue ground with extensive buttery gilt decoration. The gilding is of the highest standard, and the fine porcelain has excellent translucency. We love the number 7 shaped handle.
Each piece features the hand painted manufacturers mark and pattern number (726) to the base.
Measuring: Cup width including handle 4 3/8 inch (11 cm) by height 1 7/8 inch (4.5 cm). Saucer diameter 5 ¼ inch (13.5 cm).
Condition: Light surface wear to exterior rim of cup, minor manufacturing fault to interior of cup. Minor old hairline to base of handle.
A superb example from the Jane Austen era when the finest of tea and dinner services impressed your guests.
