Antique Georgian Silver Gilt Lined Miniature Funnel For Perfume Scent Bottle Circa 1800
Item Description
Direct from France is a super early little funnel from the end of the 18th century, circa 1780 to 1800. This small unmarked silver funnel with untested gold colored wash interior was part of a boxed, portable mixing suite for decanting perfume/powder in to smaller scent flasks/bottles. The silver has a wonderful aged softness to it with centuries of patina.
Size:2.5" (6 cm) tall by 2" (5 cm) diameter.
Condition: Not perfect. This ancient survivor was regularly used as can be seen from the wear, small pitting and one tiny hole to the outer funnel.
A super little example to add to your antique scent bottle collection. See our collection of scent bottles in store.
