Antique Regency Portrait Lady Miniature English C 1820

An adorable antique Regency era portrait miniature to add to your wall grouping, or display on your shelf. We adore this very competently painted portrait of a young lady, just study the fashion details. We see a young lady wearing a plaited top knot, with central parting, ringlets to her temples. Gold dangling earrings, sheer muslin fichu with gold fichu pin, a pale blue silk dress underneath. She is housed under glass with in a antique dark wood oval frame with gilt inner bezel.

Size: Frame4 5/8 inch tall by 4 inch (12 cm by 10 cm). Visible portrait 2 7/8 inch by 2 1/4 inch (7 cm by 5.5 cm).

Condition: Portrait has minor general darkening/aging to the paper with a slight stain by her nose. The glass is not a perfect fit, with a slight gap either side. The frame has 2 x small knocks at 6 o'clock. Not too noticeable on display, but mentioned for accuracy.

A lovely, lovely little antique portrait.
