Item Description
A very sweet and very charming pair of ancient little Victorian baby, or young child's slippers. Dating to the 1880s they are entirely made from cream silk with red silk ribbon edging and hand painted pink rose bud sprays to each. They have integral silk ankle straps with just one red ribbon tie remaining. Cream silk soles and linings. We adore the red silk ribbon Vandyke vamp with side seams.
They are genuine Victorian little shoes that have been loved, and therefore show age wear and signs of usage.
Size: Approx. 4 1/4 inch (11 cm) long
Condition: General age darkening/wear. One shoe has a hole near floral painted design. Minor shredding to silk ribbon at toe areas. Dirty silk soles from usage.
