Item Description

This wonderfully decorative mug was produced by Chetham and Woolley during the early 19th century, circa 1810. They were highly regarded for the quality and crispness of their sprigged designs; we guarantee that you will adore this item.

The mug is so finely potted, crisply sprigged and so light to pick up.

This decorative mug features classical scenes with engine turned design towards the base. Gorgeous thumb piece! The handle is beautifully moulded. Designs like these were popular in the 1780s and are most often associated with Josiah Wedgwood for his Jasperware creations.
