Egg Sewing Etui For Child With Contents Circa 1920s Doll Rabbit Puppy
Item Description
We were thrilled to discover this wooden childs sewing egg etui that dates from the 1910 to 1930s period, probably German/Austrian in origin. The Art Deco wooden egg has beautiful of the period decorative designs of little boys and girls playing with their doll, rabbit and puppy. We also see a Stork, and boys eating cakes. Inside are four holes complete with what appears to be their original sewing tools. We see a tiny pair of working scissors, pin/needle container with pins,bodkin and awl/stiletto.
Size: 3 ½ inch tall (9 cm)
Condition: Good, used condition. This has been used by children over the past 100 years, some of the designs are worn. The needle/pin container's base is stuck in the hole.
