Item Description

Oh what a little cutie this one is! We actually think it is THE smallest book form Emery pincushion that we have had. Due to the very small proportions, it is just perfect for a small sewing box, or perhaps an antique doll.

Dating from the late Georgian/early Victorian period 1830s, it has ben made with all of the love and tidiness that you expect from a sewing tool from this era.

The emery is designed as a book with embossed gold foil paper spine and edges to the front and back covers. The centre of the covers is the most luxury crimson silk plush velvet. The actual emery/pincushion is plain woven green silk stuffed tightly full with emery sand. 

Size: A teeny 1 3/8 inch tall (3.5 cm)

Condition: Very good and sound. Minor wear to the edges as you would expect, it is approaching almost 200 years old.
