Item Description

We are excited to offer our antique sewing tool collectors this rare little treasure. Dating from the 1830s period this is an emery pincushion shaped as a book. To its front cover inset tiny theorem panels of velvet, each panel painted with a flower and fruit. The surrounding green paper covers stencilled with intricate floral motifs. We see five paper strips indicating the book spine. The original pink silk emery sandwiched between the two covers. A sheer delight, we guarantee that you will adore it.

Size: 2 1/4 inch tall (5.5 cm) by 1 5/8 inch wide ( 4 cm)

Condition: Very good and sound. Minor wear to the very edges. Gold Dresden paper good and bright. Velvet theorems in great order too.
