Item Description

This fantastic Staffordshire figure was produced in England during the late 18th century, circa 1790. The pottery figure is finely modelled as a cockerel in the wonderful Prattware tones. This is a hollow ware figure, an early figure from over 200 years ago! We have not seen another like it. We love the little orange spots to his feathers, what a charming figure. This is the perfect item for anyone who keeps chickens, anyone who loves early Staffordshire figures. Please see our collection of 18th and 19th century art and antiques listed separately in our store.

Measuring: Width 3 1/8 inch (7.5 cm) by height 3 ¼ inch (8.5 cm).

Condition: A few minor littles nibbles to base rim.
