Rare 18th Century TOY Dog Figure Canary Yellow Ware C 1790
Item Description
Who can resist this absolutely ancient little figure of a pooch??This is a very rare Staffordshire pottery Canary yellow ground figure. He/she was made in England during the late 1700s, circa 1790. The hollow figure is modeled as a little dog. This is an extremely rare figure; we have not yet seen another like it. This is a toy size piece, a true miniature figure (Toy figures were not made for children as toys, rather made for adults as special pieces). Remarkably it has survived well over two centuries. This is a unique opportunity to own such a fantastic piece of early English canary ware.
