RAREST 19th Century Silver Resist Lustre Mug Sarah Bromley C 1810

This unique silver lustre resist mug was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1810. The pearlware mug features the most fabulous silver lustre glaze. This is the best silver lustre mug that we have handled as the condition of the lustrous, very expensive silver glaze is superb.

The mug features the name of the intended original owner ‘Sarah Bromley.’ This is highly unusual. We have never seen a lustre mug like this, we are used to seeing the first name only on smaller children's mugs of this period. The mug is also significantly larger than the silver mugs we have handled previously. This really is a fantastic piece of early English pottery.

This is the perfect item for a Sarah, or anyone who loves folk art or early ceramics.

Measuring: Width including handle 4 1/8 inch (10 cm) by height 3 1/8 inch (8 cm).

Condition: A small shallow touched up chip to base rim. Natural crazing to glaze commensurate with age.
